
The gold details of the black coat in Erté’s “Loge de Théâtre” 1984 took my eye straight away, I suppose of how extravagant these details were; this luxurious black coat was destined to be the centre of attention.


Created in a few fast strokes with two watercolour brushes in Procreate and detailed with a 6B pencil brush. While my re-imagination of Erté’s piece omits a lot of detail including that beautiful pink curtain, I decided to call it “pink curtains”.
